GWM Tank 300 HEV Open for Booking in Malaysia — More Power and New Tech Upgrades

Hardcore off-road enthusiasts, take note! GWM Malaysia has officially opened bookings for the Tank 300 HEV. With the addition of hybrid power, this boxy SUV has become even more capable and appealing than its petrol counterpart.

Key Highlights

Massive Power Boost: The new 2.0T Hybrid system delivers a combined output of 347 PS and 648 Nm — an impressive increase of 127 PS and 268 Nm over the petrol model. It is paired with a smooth 9-speed Hybrid Automatic Transmission (9HAT).

Tech Upgrades: The HEV variant now comes with useful new features including Auto Parking and smartphone App support. In Malaysia's hot weather, the ability to remotely switch on the air-conditioning via your phone before getting into the car is a real convenience.

Serious Off-Road Capability: The Tank 300 HEV retains its hardcore off-road identity with Tank Turn, Crawl Control, and front/rear differential locks. It also maintains 700 mm wading depth.

Exclusive Styling: The Hybrid model stands out with an exclusive Sand Beige paint finish, complemented by 17-inch black alloy wheels and All-Terrain (AT) tyres.

Pricing Outlook

Official pricing has not been announced yet. Given that the petrol Tank 300 is priced at around RM250,000 while the larger Tank 500 is priced at RM329,000, the Tank 300 HEV is expected to be positioned somewhere in between.
