AutoFlight V2000CG Receives World's First eVTOL Overseas Airworthiness Certificate

    Recently, the 2-ton class unmanned cargo eVTOL—V2000CG Kairuiou, independently developed by AutoFlight, an ecosystem enterprise of CATL, was officially awarded the Type Acceptance Certificate (Validated Type Certificate, hereinafter VTC) issued by the Indonesia Civil Aviation Authority (DGCA), becoming the world's first eVTOL model to receive overseas type acceptance.

    As the world's first eVTOL "International Visa", the issuance of Indonesia's VTC proves that AutoFlight V2000CG's design meets both the airworthiness standards of the country of origin (China) and the airworthiness requirements of the importing country (Indonesia). This VTC achieves a historic breakthrough in the globalization layout of China's low-altitude intelligent manufacturing enterprises and provides prerequisites for the V2000CG to start commercial operations in the "Land of Ten Thousand Islands".

    The acquisition of the Type Acceptance Certificate (VTC) involves the bilateral civil aviation authorities' deep examination and comprehensive benchmarking of the application model's airworthiness standards. Previously, V2000CG completed comprehensive compliance verification tests and test flights, and was issued a Type Certificate (TC) by the Civil Aviation Administration of China in March 2024.

    On the basis of holding the TC issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, in July 2025, AutoFlight submitted an airworthiness acceptance application to DGCA. After confirming that V2000CG fully meets Indonesia's airworthiness requirements through work such as comparative analysis of differences in bilateral airworthiness standards, multiple rounds of online technical seminars, review of the complete set of technical data, visits by the Indonesia Civil Aviation Authority to AutoFlight, and on-site inspection of the power battery provider CATL, the Indonesia Civil Aviation Authority officially issued the Type Acceptance Certificate (VTC) on June 3, 2026.

    Indonesia possesses a complete domestic autonomous development and aircraft manufacturing industrial foundation in Southeast Asia, with strong aircraft airworthiness examination capabilities. The successful acquisition of this Indonesia VTC demonstrates the rigor, authority, and international recognition of China's civil aviation airworthiness examination system, helping China's low-altitude economy airworthiness standards to go global.

    As the world's largest archipelagic country, Indonesia has over 17,000 islands, with relatively limited port infrastructure.
