Hyundai Motor Group Selects 200 Students to Go Abroad! Launches Volunteer Service

[CNMO Tech News] June 24, Hyundai Motor Group officially announced the launch of its landmark social welfare program "2026 Happy Move". About 200 college student volunteers selected this year will complete domestic adaptation training and then depart for Indonesia and Vietnam in July and August to participate in local volunteer service and cultural exchange programs.

I. Launch Ceremony: 200 Volunteers Ready to Go

On June 24, Hyundai Motor Group held the "2026 Happy Move" launch ceremony at the Hyundai Motor Kia Yangcheon Headquarters in Seocho-gu, Seoul. Sung Jin, Executive Vice President responsible for strategic planning at Hyundai Motor Group; Kim Dong-wook, Vice President and Director of the Strategic Planning Office, along with relevant heads from partner organizations such as Habitat, World Vision, Plan Korea, college student volunteers, and employee mentors, all attended the event.

Happy Move is a representative social welfare project of Hyundai Motor Group, aimed at helping college students grow into leaders of future society through overseas volunteer services and cultural exchange. Since its launch in 2008, the project has seen participation from over 13,000 college students. Hyundai Motor Group will fully cover all related expenses for selected volunteers, including airfare, local activity funds, etc.

II. Indonesia Team: Housing Construction and Environmental Education in Parallel

Volunteers sent to Indonesia will cooperate with Habitat and Plan Korea to carry out activities such as building new housing for low-income groups, repairing school facilities, education on waste recycling, and hygiene education. In addition, volunteers will also hold climate and environment themed discussion meetings with local college students, and conduct exchanges through cultural performances and other forms. During the event, volunteers will also visit Hyundai Motor Indonesia production subsidiary and the Hyundai Motor brand experience store located at Sna Yan Park.

III. Vietnam Team: STEAM Education and Campus Facility Improvement

Volunteers sent to Vietnam will cooperate with World Vision to carry out STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) education, oral hygiene education, new school library construction, and wall painting activities. Volunteers will also hold cultural exchange activities with local kindergartens, primary school students, and community residents, and visit Hyundai Motor Vietnam production subsidiary.

IV. Deepening Cross-Cultural Interaction

Hyundai Motor Group also plans to select local university volunteers from Indonesia and Vietnam simultaneously, to participate in activities together with Korean volunteers, creating deeper exchange opportunities for both sides. By inviting college student volunteer groups to visit local production subsidiaries in Indonesia and Vietnam, Hyundai Motor Group, while fulfilling corporate social responsibility, is also promoting substantial international exchange.
