According to the latest survey data from J.D. Power, Mitsubishi ranks first among non-luxury car brands in Malaysia with an after-sales service satisfaction score of 814, excelling in failure rate control and after-sales response efficiency. Mazda follows closely, while Volkswagen and Nissan tie for third place, both exceeding the industry average of 754 points. Although the local brand Perodua did not make it into the top five, it has a fast-response advantage in routine maintenance thanks to its annual sales volume of 358,102 units and localized service network. As the third-largest brand in terms of market share, Toyota's durability has been proven over the long term, and models like the Vios have high parts commonality, reducing repair complexity. Notably, in the commercial vehicle sector, Isuzu ELF trucks have achieved the lowest failure rate record for light commercial vehicles by continuously optimizing their after-sales system for 10 years. When comprehensively considering sales volume, service network coverage, and failure feedback rate, Mitsubishi, Toyota, and Perodua can be regarded as representative brands with fewer issues, among which Mitsubishi has shown significant progress in mechanical stability and electronic system reliability in recent years.
