Front tires typically last 3 to 5 years or around 40,000 to 60,000 kilometers, depending on driving habits, road conditions, and maintenance. If you mostly drive in the city on smooth roads, tire wear is slower and they might hit that upper end. But if you’re dealing with lots of mountain roads or high temperatures, the rubber ages faster—so you’ll want to swap them out sooner. Checking tire pressure and tread depth regularly is key. Once the tread gets below 1.6mm, it’s time for new ones; otherwise, you’ll lose grip in the rain and braking performance takes a hit. Also, even if they’re not fully worn, if you see cracks, bulges, or other signs of aging, replace them ASAP to avoid a blowout. When picking tires, go for comfort or durability based on your needs, but mixing brands can mess with handling. Best to keep the same specs and tread pattern on the same axle.
