DCT uses two clutches working alternately, offering fast shifting speed and high transmission efficiency, making it suitable for performance-oriented models. CVT achieves stepless speed variation through a steel belt and cone pulleys, with linear power output and excellent fuel economy, widely used in economy cars. Each of these transmissions has distinct characteristics. The selection should be based on comprehensive consideration of driving habits and vehicle positioning.
