Currently, several pure electric vehicle models with strong range capabilities have been launched in the Malaysian market. For instance, the Perodua QV-E offers an NEDC range of 445km, equipped with a 52.5kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, supports 60kW fast charging to replenish 50% of its capacity in 30 minutes, and its lease price of 80,000 ringgit is highly competitive. The Proton e.MAS 7 provides two WLTP range options-345km and 410km-utilizes CTB battery integration technology, and is priced between 109,800 and 123,800 ringgit. Technologically, these models typically feature motors exceeding 150kW, smart infotainment systems, and L2-level driving assistance. With the government's goal of achieving a 20% market share for new energy vehicles by 2030, more models boasting ranges over 500km are anticipated to emerge. The current 445km range already suffices for most daily commuting needs, and advancements in fast-charging technology have significantly improved the convenience of long-distance travel.
