A high-quality automotive lighting system must meet regulatory standards and functional requirements. The brightness of low-beam headlights should not be less than 1000 lumens, and high-beam headlights need to reach more than 1450 lumens to ensure clear road illumination at night or in low-visibility weather. The system should include modules such as low-beam headlights, high-beam headlights, turn signals, position lights, fog lights, and hazard warning flashers. Among them, turn signals should be activated 50 to 100 meters in advance before turning or changing lanes, and fog lights should use high-penetration yellow light to cope with rainy and foggy weather. High-beam headlights are only for use on unlit roads; when meeting another vehicle, they should be switched to low beams at least 150 meters away to avoid glare. In addition, lights must comply with interaction norms, such as alternating between high and low beams to prompt the vehicle ahead when overtaking, disabling high beams when meeting vehicles on narrow roads, and turning on low beams plus fog lights in rainy and foggy weather. Daily attention should be paid to checking the sensitivity of automatic headlights to avoid mistakenly using position lights instead of low-beam headlights. Correct use of lights not only improves driving safety but also conveys driving intentions through the frequency of flashing lights, such as flashing once to remind the vehicle ahead to start, and flashing three times to indicate a vehicle malfunction.
