The Chinese tyre brands currently available in the local market mainly include passenger car and commercial vehicle tyre products manufactured by companies such as Prinx Chengshan, Fulin Tyres, and Zhaoqing Junhong Industrial. Prinx Chengshan's factory in Kedah is planned to produce 6 million semi-steel tyres and 600,000 all-steel tyres annually, using advanced domestic equipment. Fulin Tyres' factory in Port Klang mainly produces 3 million semi-steel tyres and 500,000 all-steel tyres, with its product line covering the economy to mid-to-high-end markets. Among them, the green tyres using silica reinforcement technology can reduce fuel consumption by 5%-8%. Zhaoqing Junhong's project in the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park focuses on the production of 6 million passenger car tyres and 500,000 commercial vehicle tyres, and its innovative tread formula can improve wear resistance by 20%. While maintaining price competitiveness (the market price of semi-steel tyres is about 150-400 ringgit per piece), their products have passed the EU Labeling Regulation and ASEAN safety certification, and some models have also obtained supporting recognition from car manufacturers such as Tesla and Toyota. Chinese tyre brands are continuously optimizing their products by establishing local R&D centers, such as the reinforced carcass structure developed for the winding road conditions in the East Coast region, and the truck tyre retreading service network adapted to long-distance transportation needs.
