Common issues with suspension systems mainly include component wear, abnormal noises, and decreased driving stability. The aging of the Lower Arm Bush (control arm bushing) can cause metallic knocking sounds and wheel misalignment, requiring timely replacement to prevent abnormal tyre wear and safety risks. Wear in the stabilizer bar and links can lead to excessive body roll or steering instability, presenting as inadequate cornering support or difficulty in steering wheel centering. Additionally, deteriorated stabilizer bar bushings may produce a "squeaking" sound, particularly noticeable on rough roads, which can be rectified by bushing replacement. Loose suspension components (such as ball joints or bolts) may generate a "knocking" noise, necessitating vehicle lifting for inspection and tightening. Prolonged neglect of these issues could cause uneven tyre wear, impaired handling, and even jeopardize driving safety. It is advisable to inspect the suspension system every 10,000 kilometres or during routine maintenance, with preference given to genuine parts for optimal compatibility. Repair costs typically range from 300 to 2,000 ringgit depending on the vehicle model.
