While it is technically possible to drive a car without an air conditioning filter, it is strongly not recommended, as the air conditioning filter plays a crucial role in ensuring the air quality inside the vehicle and the health of drivers and passengers. The air conditioning filter effectively filters out solid impurities such as dust, pollen, and industrial exhaust from the air, while also adsorbing harmful gases like ozone and sulfur dioxide as well as odors, preventing these pollutants from directly entering the cabin. Prolonged absence of the filter will lead to dust accumulation in the air conditioning system, reducing cooling efficiency and increasing energy consumption, and may also cause respiratory discomfort or allergic reactions. It is best to replace the filter every 10,000 kilometres or every six months. Regular maintenance of the air conditioning filter not only enhances in-vehicle air quality but also extends the system's service life, ensuring driving comfort and safety.
