However, for complex faults such as ABS control unit damage, hydraulic system leakage, or circuit breakage, professional technicians must use a decoder to read the fault codes and perform repairs. Especially since the ABS pump assembly integrates electronic and hydraulic systems, improper operation may affect braking safety. Self-handling is limited to basic troubleshooting. If the fault light remains on or the wheels lock up during emergency braking, the vehicle should be sent to a 4S shop immediately, as ABS failure may lead to extended braking distance or loss of control.
