It's advisable to monthly inspect the reservoir marked with a washer symbol in the engine bay, promptly refilling it with dedicated windshield washer fluid. In tropical climates, cleaning solutions containing insect-repellent compounds may be used, and the reservoir should be maintained at least three-quarters full before rainy seasons. For vehicles lacking automatic warning systems, manually open the engine compartment and use a clean wooden stick to vertically measure the fluid level in the tank, which typically has a standard capacity of 3 to 5 litres.
