The piling method is a construction technique that uses specialized machinery to drive various materials (such as reinforced concrete piles, steel piles, etc.) into the foundation. It is mainly used to transfer the load of buildings to deep stable soil layers or rock formations to ensure structural safety. The hammering method uses the impact force of pile hammers (such as drop hammers, diesel hammers) to overcome soil resistance. It is suitable for soft plastic clay layers and requires adherence to the principle of "heavy hammer with low strike" to avoid pile damage. The vibration method reduces soil friction through high-frequency vibratory force, is particularly suitable for sand layers, and has high efficiency. The pressing method uses mechanical static pressure to drive piles, featuring low noise and minimal disturbance to the surrounding area, but is limited by equipment height and requires segmented construction. Under complex geological conditions, pile foundation design must consider the mechanical characteristics of friction piles (relying on side friction resistance) or end-bearing piles (relying on deep bearing layers) to ensure settlement control and seismic performance. For example, super high-rise buildings may need to penetrate tens of meters of soft soil layers, enabling the bearing capacity of a single pile to reach thousands of tons.
