Some premium models additionally adopt a sensor fusion approach combining radar and cameras, utilizing image recognition algorithms to reduce false positives, and may even incorporate automatic steering intervention functionality. Installation typically requires rearview mirror lens replacement for seamless integration, while routine maintenance involves keeping sensors clean to ensure optimal performance. This system proves particularly valuable during high-speed lane changes, in adverse weather conditions, and for nighttime driving, though drivers must still maintain active situational awareness rather than relying solely on electronic assistance.
