Do 2018 Accords have a CVT?

The 2018 Honda Accord did come with a CVT transmission on some trims, but not across the entire lineup-it really depended on the specific model and powertrain. Here in Malaysia, the 2018 Accord was primarily offered with the 1.5-litre turbo engine paired with that CVT. That gearbox is known for its smooth, seamless shifts and solid fuel economy, making it a solid pick for daily city driving. How it works is through a钢带 and pulley system that provides infinite gear ratios, which does a better job than traditional automatics at keeping the engine in its optimal power band-hence the improved efficiency. But if you’re someone who craves a bit more engagement behind the wheel, you might want to look into models with other transmission options. And if you’re shopping for a used unit or a parallel import, always double-check the specific specs-different markets can have surprisingly different configurations.
