Its working principle is to achieve active safety protection through multi-technology collaboration. The radar detects the distance and relative speed of obstacles ahead, while the camera provides visual recognition, with both jointly constructing real-time road condition data. As the decision-making centre, the ECU performs calculations by integrating vehicle speed, obstacle dynamics, and preset safety thresholds. If no response is detected, it intervenes with staged braking: initially pre-pressurizing the braking system, and directly triggering maximum braking force in critical situations. The execution end utilizes the ESP body stability system or an independent braking module to actuate the brake calipers via hydraulic mechanisms for deceleration. Notably, this system operates most effectively within the 30-80 km/h speed range but has limitations in detecting stationary obstacles or performing under adverse weather conditions, necessitating continued active monitoring by the driver. Currently, mainstream models such as the Proton X70 and Perodua Ativa are equipped with this technology, with some advanced versions further integrating adaptive cruise control for full-speed range protection.
