KUALA LUMPUR, 21 MAY 2026 – GWM Malaysia today expands its rugged SUV line-up with the introduction of the GWM TANK 300 HEV, bringing hybrid refinement to its proven off-road platform.

The new GWM TANK 300 HEV retains its bold design, purpose-built architecture and genuine off-road capability, now enhanced with electrified efficiency for improved everyday drivability.

Globally, the GWM TANK 300 has established itself as a recognised off-road SUV in China, earning the Off-Road SUV Champion title from 2021 to 2025. Since its Malaysian debut in 2024, it has gained strong traction, with over 1,000 owners to date and a growing community of enthusiasts.

• The body adopts a substantial amount of 1500 MPa ultra-high-strength steel.
• High-strength steel accounts for 99% of the frame, with longitudinal beam cross-sections reaching up to 160 × 130 mm. The torsional rigidity reaches 284.5 kN·m/rad, providing strong support for the vehicle’s resistance to twisting and overall handling stability.
