Proton has launched its 2026 East Malaysia Day campaign in Sabah and Sarawak, using the month-long aftersales initiative to promote vehicle safety checks while rewarding owners who service their cars at authorised outlets.
Running from 8 July to 7 August 2026, the campaign is open to owners of all Proton models, including the PIES (Persona, Iriz, Exora, Saga), X Series and S Series line-ups. It is being offered at all Proton Authorised Service Centres in East Malaysia, including 2S outlets.
The promotion is timed to East Malaysia Day and is aimed at encouraging regular maintenance as more customers in Sabah and Sarawak continue to rely on the brand for daily use and longer-distance travel.
According to Proton, its East Malaysia service network now comprises 30 authorised service centres in total, with 12 in Sabah and 18 in Sarawak. The company said the spread is intended to make professional aftersales support more accessible across both states.

The main service incentive is a free 40-point safety inspection. Proton said the check covers key components such as brakes, tyres, battery condition, suspension and fluid levels.
The inspection is positioned as a practical way for owners to assess whether their vehicles are ready for regular commuting or inter-town journeys, especially in areas where roadside support may be less immediate than in larger urban centres.
In addition to the free inspection, customers who purchase a genuine Proton wiper set during the campaign will receive a Proton neck pillow as a gift, subject to stock availability.
Proton said the offer is meant to encourage the use of genuine parts through its authorised service network. The company also reiterated that factory-trained technicians handle these services and that genuine parts are designed to meet its quality and safety standards.
Dato’ Ir. Abdul Rashid Musa, chief executive officer of Proton Edar Sdn Bhd, said Sabah and Sarawak remain important markets for the brand and that the campaign is intended to thank customers while reminding them to prioritise routine maintenance for safer journeys.
The campaign also underlines the role of aftersales support in ownership value, particularly in East Malaysia where Proton continues to position service accessibility and parts support as part of its broader customer proposition.
