CKD 2026 Xpeng G6 opened for booking in Malaysia, from RM 158,888 and 800V fast charging

Bermaz Xpeng has opened bookings for the locally assembled (CKD) 2026 Xpeng G6 in Malaysia, marking the next phase of the electric SUV’s rollout and extending the model’s three-variant lineup to CKD form. The G6 is being assembled locally at EP Manufacturing Berhad’s (EPMB) Melaka facility, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in August 2026.

The CKD version is offered in Standard Range (SR), Long Range (LR), and AWD Performance variants, and Bermaz Xpeng said pricing remains unchanged from the previously announced figures for West Malaysia. The G6 starts at RM 158,888 for the Standard Range, RM 178,888 for the Long Range and RM 189,888 for the AWD Performance.

The local assembly (CKD) move is being positioned as a way to support Malaysia’s EV ecosystem while keeping the G6’s key hardware and equipment intact. Bermaz Xpeng said the CKD model continues to focus on technology, efficiency and intelligent performance rather than making a major equipment reset for the new production phase.

Under the skin, the G6 remains based on Xpeng’s SEPA 2.0 architecture. The brand is also keeping one of the model’s headline technical features: its 800V charging system, which is claimed to support a 10 to 80 percent charge in 12 minutes.

That charging performance is likely to be a major selling point in a market where buyers are still weighing public charging convenience against daily usability. XPENG says the system is paired with energy management designed to suit real-world driving conditions, including use cases relevant to Malaysian roads and commuting patterns.

All CKD variants come with XPILOT Assist, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centering Control and Autonomous Parking Assist. Bermaz Xpeng said the system has been improved with stronger processing capability, allowing for smoother responses in routine driving situations.

The company is also linking the CKD launch to ownership value. For a limited time, customers who book the G6 will receive a complimentary wallbox charger worth RM 5,000, along with insurance coverage support of up to RM 5,000.

Bermaz Xpeng said bookings can be made at authorised dealerships nationwide. The company did not announce any change to the model’s variant structure beyond the CKD rollout, and the G6 remains the brand’s main SUV offering alongside the Xpeng X9 in Malaysia.

In comments released with the launch, Bermaz Auto group chief executive officer Dato’ Sri Francis Lee said the company sees the CKD G6 as part of Malaysia’s push to strengthen domestic EV capability and build a more competitive ecosystem. He also said the brand is aiming to keep the G6 accessible by maintaining the same pricing while adding ownership benefits.
