Porsche has once again proven why it remains the undisputed king of the Nürburgring!
Recently, Porsche development driver Lars Kern set a blistering new lap time of 6:55.533 on the legendary Nordschleife in a Taycan Turbo GT equipped with the Manthey Kit. This achievement not only establishes a new record for the fastest production electric car around the Ring but has also sent shockwaves through the global performance car community.

While Chinese electric hypercars have been generating plenty of hype lately, Porsche has let the stopwatch do the talking:
The star of this record run is the Manthey Kit, co-developed by Porsche and its long-time partner, Manthey Racing. This extreme performance package delivers race-car levels of aerodynamic downforce and high-speed stability.

For reference, the Taycan Turbo GT is the most powerful production car in Porsche's history.
Max Power: 1,108 PS (in Overboost mode)
Peak Torque: 1,340 Nm
0-100km/h: 2.2 seconds (with Weissach Package)
Top Speed: 305 km/h
While the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra has been trending heavily on Malaysian social media, Porsche has just reminded everyone what "God-tier" electric performance looks like by smashing the 7-minute barrier.
For local "Porker" fans, this new record is the ultimate validation of the brand's engineering supremacy. In Malaysia's luxury EV segment, the Taycan remains the undisputed benchmark. With this latest Nürburgring achievement, demand — and waiting lists — are expected to grow even stronger.
The EV lap record battle is heating up. Do you think Xiaomi or Yangwang can fight back in the future?
