Mitsubishi Motors continues its strong momentum in the Southeast Asian market. According to its Fiscal Year 2025 (FY2025) performance report, Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam achieved excellent results with total retail sales reaching 48,096 units, representing a solid 11.7% year-on-year increase.

This marks the brand's second consecutive year of record-breaking sales in Vietnam, with its market share rising further to 14.9%.

Xpander: The Undisputed King of the ICE Segment

The Xpander series remains the cornerstone of Mitsubishi's success in ASEAN. In FY2025, it recorded 19,731 units sold in Vietnam, achieving two impressive milestones:

  • 7 consecutive years as the best-selling MPV (ICE) in Vietnam.
  • 4 consecutive years as the overall best-selling ICE vehicle in the country.

Even amid the rising wave of electrification, the Xpander continues to be the top choice for Vietnamese families due to its exceptional practicality and proven reliability.

Rising Stars: Destinator and Xforce Gain Traction

In addition to the evergreen Xpander, newer models are showing strong potential:

  • Destinator: The all-new midsize SUV, launched in December last year, has quickly become a dark horse. It claimed the top spot in the C-SUV (ICE) segment in March, praised for blending SUV capability with MPV-like comfort.
  • Xforce: The compact SUV has also maintained solid momentum, even securing the title of best-selling ICE vehicle last December.

Official Statement

Keisuke Kishiura, President and COO of Mitsubishi Motors, commented:

"For more than three decades, Mitsubishi Motors has been privileged to play a part in the growth of Vietnam's automotive industry. We are grateful for the confidence our customers have placed in us, built on our model lineup tailored to the ASEAN market and strong dealer network. Going forward, we will continue working to expand sales in Vietnam and strengthen Mitsubishi Motors' presence across the ASEAN region."
