Following the strong buzz generated by Zeekr in Malaysia, exciting news has arrived for fans of the brand. Zeekr has officially confirmed the upcoming global launch of its flagship SUV — the Zeekr 9X.
According to Zeekr's latest "Face-to-Face Q&A" session, the ultra-luxury Zeekr 9X is scheduled to enter international markets in the third quarter (Q3) of this year. It will first arrive in the Middle East, Central Asia, and Europe starting from September. For Malaysian fans, the right-hand-drive (RHD) version is expected to reach our shores by late 2026 or early 2027 at the earliest, with pricing likely exceeding the RM500,000 mark.

Exterior: An Overbearing "Land Yacht"
The Zeekr 9X builds upon the design DNA of the Zeekr 009 but delivers an even more imposing presence as an SUV.
- Dimensions: 5,239 mm (L) × 2,029 mm (W) × 1,819 mm (H), with a 3,169 mm wheelbase. On Malaysian roads, its sheer size rivals the Range Rover and even the Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
- It features a signature "waterfall" grille, roof-mounted LiDAR, striking "Starlight Diamond" through-type taillights with 42,242 facets, and optional monoblock wheels that exude strong Rolls-Royce vibes.
- Additional luxury touches include electric doors, automatic retractable side steps, and a dual-tone body design.

Interior: British Naim Audio & Zeekr OS 7.0
The cabin showcases "New Chinese Luxury" at its finest:
- Premium materials including leather, real wood, and metal accents.
- Equipped with the flagship British Naim audio system (Bentley's partner brand).
- Powered by Zeekr OS 7.0, featuring a massive dual-screen setup for the centre console and front passenger.
- A 3-row, 6-seater layout with independent second-row seats offering entertainment screens and massage functions for true "boss-class" comfort.

Powertrain: A 1,400 HP "Thug in a Suit"
Under the hood, the Zeekr 9X is anything but gentle:
- It adopts a full 900V hybrid high-voltage architecture, combining a 2.0T hybrid-specific engine with a triple-motor system.
- Total System Output: Up to 1,030 kW (approximately 1,400 PS).
- 0–100 km/h: Just 3.1 seconds.
- Equipped with a 70 kWh 6C hybrid battery delivering a CLTC pure electric range of 380 km. Thanks to the high-voltage system, it can charge from 20% to 80% in only 9 minutes.
- Advanced chassis technology includes closed dual-chamber air suspension and dual-valve CCD electromagnetic dampers, supported by two NVIDIA DRIVE Thor chips with up to 1,400 TOPS of computing power.

Market Outlook for Malaysia?
If the Zeekr 9X is introduced in Malaysia, it will directly challenge the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS. Despite being a plug-in hybrid, its combination of extreme performance, cutting-edge intelligent driving hardware, and interior luxury that surpasses many traditional premium brands makes it highly appealing to Malaysian buyers seeking something fresh and distinctive.
In China, the Zeekr 9X is priced between RMB 465,900 and RMB 599,900 (approx. RM305,000 – RM393,000). Once taxes, shipping, and certification costs are factored in, the Malaysian price is expected to fall within the RM500,000 to RM700,000 range.
