TQ Wuling has officially started local assembly (CKD) of the Bingo EV in Malaysia, marking an important milestone for the brand’s long-term commitment to Malaysia’s automotive industry and its fast-growing electric vehicle ecosystem.

The first locally assembled Wuling Bingo EV rolled off the production line at Tan Chong’s plant in January 2026, marking further progress in SAIC-GM-Wuling’s Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand integration strategy. The model has been optimized for the Southeast Asian market, with local vehicle and key component production now established in Malaysia, improving delivery efficiency and offering more competitive pricing for Malaysian customers.

In the first two months of 2026, SAIC-GM-Wuling’s total overseas exports reached 53,546 units, an increase of 49.9% year-on-year. New energy vehicle exports stood at 20,747 units, surging 163.9% compared to the same period last year.

Following this first delivery, Wuling will continue to advance its regional strategy, expand its sales network, and upgrade after-sales services across Malaysia.
