Recently, Lexus officially released the official images of the new LM model, which is an annual facelift. The Japanese market has taken the lead in announcing the pricing: the 6-seater L model starts at 15.2 million yen (~RM 385,000), and the 4-seater Executive flagship model starts at 20.3 million yen (~RM 514,000). It is reported that the new car will make its debut in Japan on April 1st and is expected to continue to enter the Malaysian market in the form of imports in the future. The core upgrade focuses on configuration optimization to enhance the luxurious riding experience.

The prices of both models have increased by 200,000 yen compared with the previous generation, among which the flagship model had already been raised by 100,000 yen earlier. The slight price increase corresponds to the value enhancement brought by the configuration upgrade.

As Lexus' flagship luxury MPV, the new LM continues the high-end design of the current model. The iconic spindle grille, smooth body lines and elegant rear end are all retained, showing a luxurious aura. Referring to the specifications of the current model (length, width and height: 5125/1890/1940mm, wheelbase: 3000mm), the new model is expected to remain the same, providing ample riding space and supporting 4-seater and 6-seater layouts to meet different travel needs.

This facelift continues Lexus' "steady step-by-step" strategy, with the core being refined configuration upgrades focusing on comfort and quietness. The new car adds second-row welcome floor lights (first installed on the 4-seater executive version), which illuminate the ground when the sliding door is opened, improving convenience and a sense of ceremony; the charging port in the central armrest area of the second row is upgraded to a 60W USB-C port, which can meet the power supply needs of devices such as mobile phones and laptops, taking into account business practicality.

A new flexible wave-shaped bracket made of soft elastic material is added inside the on-board refrigerator, which can fix beverages of different sizes and avoid noise caused by collision of bottles during driving; the "Executive" and "Version L" models are equipped with new pattern silent tires, combined with the shock absorption and sound absorption materials added earlier, to further reduce road noise. The interior still retains high-end configurations such as a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a full LCD instrument panel, continuing the flagship texture.

In terms of power, the new LM 500h is equipped with a hybrid system composed of a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine and two electric motors, with a combined output of 366 horsepower, matched with a 6-speed automatic transmission and full-time four-wheel drive, balancing power and smoothness; the upgrade information of the LM 350h model has not been announced yet, and it is expected to continue the existing hybrid system.

The Lexus LM has a high degree of attention in the Malaysian imported luxury MPV market. It is expected that after its debut in Japan, the new car will gradually enter other markets. The specific version, pricing and launch time have yet to be announced. In addition, Lexus' next-generation LS concept car may be transformed into a six-wheel ultra-luxury MPV, but it is still in the concept stage and will not affect the market position of the LM in the short term.
