XPeng Signs Deal with EPMB Group to Launch Local Production in Malaysia

XPeng Motors has signed a partnership agreement with Malaysia’s EPMB Group on December 15, officially kicking off its local production project in Malaysia. This marks XPeng’s third global local production hub, following Indonesia and Austria. Scheduled to start mass production in 2026, the facility is set to serve as a strategic hub for right-hand-drive electric vehicles across the ASEAN region.

Between January and October this year, XPeng ranked among the top six pure electric brands in Malaysia’s sales charts; its XPeng X9 even claimed the title of best-selling premium electric MPV in Malaysia last September.
