Attention all Malaysian Bosses! On April 1, Mercedes-Benz unveiled the official images of the GLE Facelift. This is a massive update, covering not only the standard GLE SUV but also the performance icon — the AMG GLE 53 series.
This evolution is far more than a "cosmetic surgery" for the exterior; it is a deep-rooted overhaul ranging from the all-new MB.OS electronic architecture to the advanced powertrain.

The design language of the new GLE family leans further into the refined elegance of the electrified era.

Illuminated Star Grille: The most striking change is the larger grille, now featuring an illuminated design for the first time. The massive three-pointed star, paired with the glowing frame, offers unparalleled road presence when cruising down the Federal Highway or LDP at night.
"Double Star" Smart Headlights: The redesigned headlight clusters utilize micro-LED technology with a unique "Double Star" motif inside. Featuring ULTRA RANGE High Beam, they can illuminate up to 600 meters. Most impressively, the system uses a new chip to mask oncoming traffic in real-time—lighting your path without blinding other drivers.

Rear Details: The taillights now sport a 3D star matrix, complemented by a full-width chrome strip that makes the rear look wider and more planted.

Inside, Mercedes-Benz once again redefines "Technological Luxury".
12.3-inch Triple Screen: The dashboard is encased in a single piece of glass, housing three 12.3-inch high-definition displays. Powered by Mercedes' in-house MB.OS, the system's processing power and "Zero-Layer" UI are significantly more fluid than its predecessors.

Independent Passenger Space: The front passenger now enjoys a dedicated entertainment screen with "Dual-View Optical Control". Simply put, while the passenger watches a movie, the screen appears black from the driver's angle, ensuring zero distraction and maximum safety.
Exquisite Craftsmanship: Round air vents with a refined design, ARTICO leather, and Moccasin stitching, paired with 64-color active ambient lighting, create an interior vibe that is truly unbeatable in its class.
The GLE powertrain has been fully upgraded: Stronger, smoother, and smarter.
ISG Smart Motor: All models come standard with a 17kW ISG system (48V Mild Hybrid), providing silent start-ups and extra torque boost.
Explosive Performance: The Inline-6 engine's torque has been bumped to 560Nm, while the V8 version produces a staggering 395kW (537hp) and 750Nm.
E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL: This advanced chassis technology controls the damping of each wheel independently. It even utilizes cameras to "preview" the road ahead; if a pothole is detected, the suspension softens instantly—a literal life-saver for Malaysian road conditions.

Performance enthusiasts cannot miss the AMG GLE 53. It strikes a perfect balance between a daily executive cruiser and a high-performance machine.
New Matte Paint: The official photos showcase the MANUFAKTUR Alpine Grey Solid, exuding a cold, aggressive vibe.

PHEV Tech: In addition to the petrol version, a PHEV model has joined the lineup, delivering a combined output of 430kW (585hp) and 750Nm, hitting 0-100km/h in just 4.5 seconds. That's supercar territory!

While this is a global debut, the GLE is a core product for Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM). It's only a matter of time before it arrives on our shores. Given the current tax incentives for hybrids and EVs, this 48V and PHEV lineup will be highly competitive. We expect the GLE 450 to remain the volume seller, leveraging its CKD pricing advantage to stay ahead of the curve.
So, Bosses, does this "Glow-in-the-dark" Benz impress you? Would you wait for this if you're looking for a new SUV?
