Following the huge success and buzz created by the Denza D9 luxury MPV, BYD's premium sub-brand Denza is making another bold move. The official Registration of Interest (ROI) for the Denza B8 has now opened in Malaysia. Positioned as a luxury rugged off-road PHEV SUV, the Denza B8 is the international version of the highly acclaimed Fangchengbao Bao 8 from China. It targets families and off-road enthusiasts who seek a perfect combination of ultimate performance and luxury.

The Denza B8 is built on BYD's DMO (Dual-Mode Off-road) Super Hybrid platform, purpose-engineered for serious off-roading. The standout feature is the DiSus-P Intelligent Hydraulic Body Control System, which delivers:
Chassis Lift: Up to 140 mm of adjustable suspension travel
Wading & Geometry: Maximum water wading depth of 890 mm, with approach and departure angles of 34° and 35° respectively
These capabilities ensure the Denza B8 delivers true hardcore off-road performance while maintaining luxury comfort.

Despite its large size, the Denza B8 delivers impressive performance figures. It combines a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine with dual electric motors on the front and rear axles.
Total Output: Up to 748 PS (some variants rated at 578 PS; Malaysian specifications to be confirmed) and 760 Nm of torque
Range: Equipped with a 36.8 kWh Blade Battery, offering a pure electric range of 115 km (NEDC) or approximately 100 km (WLTP). The total combined range exceeds 1,000 km on a full tank and full charge.
Charging: Supports 120 kW DC fast charging (30% to 80% in just 16 minutes) and 6.6 kW V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) external power supply — ideal for Malaysia's growing camping and outdoor lifestyle.
Measuring over 5.1 meters in length and boasting a 2,920 mm wheelbase, the Denza B8 is larger than a Toyota Land Cruiser 300. It offers two flexible seating configurations: 6-seater and 7-seater layouts, designed to cater to both family comfort and luxury needs.

Luxury Features: The 6-seater version comes equipped with second-row Captain Seats that offer full power adjustment, heating, ventilation, and massage functions for maximum comfort.

Smart Cockpit: The B8 features a signature "Triple Screen" setup, comprising a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 17.3-inch central touchscreen, and a 12.3-inch passenger entertainment screen. It is further equipped with an 18-speaker Devialet sound system and a convenient onboard refrigerator.

The arrival of the Denza B8 marks a bold step in BYD's ambition to conquer the luxury SUV segment in Malaysia. While official pricing has yet to be announced, the B8 is expected to be positioned between RM350,000 and RM450,000, based on the Denza D9's current price point of approximately RM300,000. At this level, it will directly rival established players such as the Land Rover Defender and Lexus GX.
