BYD's premium luxury brand, YangWang, has announced exciting news. Hu Xiaoqing, General Manager of YangWang's Sales Division, confirmed via social media that the highly anticipated YangWang U8L 4-Seater Edition will make its official debut at the Beijing Auto Show on April 24.
As the new flagship of the YangWang lineup, the 4-seater model features comprehensive upgrades focused on luxury and exclusivity. Hu revealed that the new vehicle will elevate the cabin experience to new heights, while offering exclusive owner privileges and highly personalized customization options. She also confirmed that there will be a substantial price difference compared to the current 6-seater version.

The YangWang U8L Dingshi Edition masterfully weaves rich Chinese cultural elements into its design.
Front Fascia: Inspired by the ancient Chinese "Ding" (ritual tripod), the front end features 99 diamond-shaped LED light beads on each side, forming a highly distinctive and iconic light signature.
Exclusive Emblems: The vehicle is adorned with three 24K gold emblems depicting the oracle bone script for "电" (Electricity). Each emblem is meticulously crafted through a refined 24-step process, embodying exceptional luxury and cultural prestige.
The overall silhouette is bold and commanding, complemented by 23-inch 8-spoke forged wheels and a split-opening electric tailgate.

The interior adopts a refined "Central Axis Symmetry" aesthetic, drawing inspiration from the majestic natural beauty of Mount Lu. Spanning an impressive 5.3 m³ cabin, the 4-seater edition delivers exceptional rear-seat comfort and space, transforming the vehicle into a top-tier mobile executive lounge.

The powertrain is a core highlight of the U8L. This flagship model will debut with the advanced second-generation Blade Battery, paired with cutting-edge ultra-fast charging technology
Range: CLTC pure electric range reaches 230km, with a comprehensive range of 1,205km.
Charging Efficiency: Supports extreme fast charging, theoretically achieving a full charge in 9 minutes, or a functional charge in 5 minutes.
Cold Weather Performance: Even in extreme low temperatures of -30°C, the charging time increases by only 3 minutes.

The YangWang U8L Dingshi Edition (6-seater) is currently priced at RMB 1.3 million. With the upcoming launch of the higher-positioned 4-seater version, the price is expected to rise significantly. For the Malaysian market, the progress of YangWang not only demonstrates BYD's strong capabilities in the ultra-luxury segment, but also signals the potential future introduction of second-generation Blade Battery technology to other BYD models available locally.
