NIO ES9 Pre-Orders Open in China: Starting at RM346k with a Massive 3,250 mm Wheelbase

On April 9, NIO officially unveiled its new tech flagship SUV, the NIO ES9, and simultaneously opened pre-orders. The outright purchase price starts at RMB 528,000 (approximately RM346,000), while the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option lowers the entry barrier to RMB 420,000 (approximately RM275,000). The new model is scheduled for official launch and initial deliveries in late May.

Imposing Presence – Larger Than the ES8

Measuring 5,365 × 2,029 × 1,870 mm with a 3,250 mm wheelbase, the NIO ES9 boasts commanding dimensions that significantly surpass those of the current ES8. This makes it one of the largest and most imposing electric SUVs in its class, delivering a Cullinan-level road presence.

The ES9 features NIO's latest evolution of the signature "Shark Nose" family design, characterized by clean, elegant lines. The NIO ES9 is clearly positioned as a serious contender in the full-size luxury SUV segment.
