Following a teaser released just days ago, Proton has officially launched the Proton X70 Sport Edition. Based on the range-topping Premium variant, this limited-run model features several exclusive interior and exterior enhancements designed to amplify its visual presence and sporty appeal.

Exclusive Sporty Aesthetics

On the outside, the X70 Sport Edition is equipped with a dedicated aerodynamic kit, featuring front, side, and rear skirts accented with striking red highlights. The 19-inch wheels, carried over from the Premium variant, have been redesigned with a full Gloss Black finish, replacing the standard two-tone look.

To emphasise its exclusivity, a chrome "Sport Edition" badge with three red lines is prominently displayed on the tailgate. This limited model is available exclusively in Quartz Black — a distinctive shade that perfectly complements the blacked-out wheels and overall sporty theme.

The cabin receives subtle yet sporty updates that perfectly complement the exterior theme.

Red Stitching: Featured on the steering wheel, front armrest, and leatherette seats.

Exclusive Branding: "Sport Edition" logos are embroidered on the front seat backrests.

Value and Pricing

According to Proton, the exclusive enhancements on the X70 Sport Edition are valued at RM6,000. However, customers only need to pay an additional RM2,500 over the price of the Premium variant.

Factoring in Proton's ongoing rebates for registrations before April 30, 2026, the X70 Sport Edition is priced at RM115,300 (on-the-road without insurance). With only 600 units available nationwide, interested buyers are advised to act quickly.

Powertrain and Specifications

Mechanically, the Proton X70 Sport Edition remains unchanged from the Premium variant. It is powered by the 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged direct-injection engine (BHE15-EFZ).

Safety continues to be a top priority, with the full ADAS suite carried over from the Premium variant and offered as standard equipment.
