2026 Beijing Auto Show Preview: Refreshed Zeekr 009 Breaks Cover with 900V Architecture and 6C Ultra-Fast Charging

Just ahead of the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, our team on site caught the first glimpse of the refreshed Zeekr 009! Positioned as a top contender in the MPV segment, this facelift brings more than just a fresh look — its upgraded tech under the skin is ready to challenge the competition. 

Pre-sales are expected to kick off at the show, with the official China launch set for Q2 this year. For Malaysian "Taukes" (business owners) awaiting Zeekr's newest release, this is definitely one to watch.

Exterior: Refined Elegance  

The refreshed Zeekr 009 retains its iconic "Waterfall" grille, now enhanced with a new vertical flowing light strip. This integrates seamlessly with the intelligent lighting system, further amplifying its futuristic road presence.

Lexus has introduced two new exterior shades: Starry Grey and Obsidian Gold. The Obsidian Gold, in particular, exudes an opulent aura that aligns perfectly with the tastes of Malaysia's luxury elite. The exterior updates are rounded off with new alloy wheels — shared with the Zeekr 9X — and a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor, signaling a significant leap in advanced ADAS capabilities.

Performance: 900V Architecture for a "Petrol-Like" Charging Experience

The highlight of this update is the transition to a full-stack 900V high-voltage architecture.

6C Ultra-Fast Charging: Equipped with the latest Qilin battery, it supports 6C charging rates with a peak power of 705 kW. 

10-Minute Recovery: For Malaysian drivers, this means by the time you've finished a quick break at a highway R&R, your vehicle is fully replenished for the next leg of the journey.

Powertrain Options

Single Motor: 310 kW output with up to 740 km range. 

Dual Motor AWD: Higher total output and a 720 km range — more than enough for a non-stop "Balik Kampung" trip from KL to Penang.

Tech: NVIDIA's Next-Gen Computing Power

The refreshed 009 debuts the G-ASD Assisted Driving System, powered by the NVIDIA DRIVE Thor-U chip. This represents a massive leap in computing power, ensuring smoother, more responsive, and safer autonomous features. To enhance safety awareness for other road users, a new blue auxiliary driving indicator has been integrated into the exterior to signal when automated systems are active.

Zeekr's Strategic Outlook in Malaysia

Zeekr has shown strong momentum since its Malaysian debut, surpassing 2,500 deliveries in 2025. Currently, with the Zeekr 009 starting from RM299,800, it poses a formidable threat to the long-standing dominance of traditional Japanese luxury MPVs.

With local assembly (CKD) plans underway and a retail network set to expand to 18 locations by the end of 2026, this 900V refreshed model is expected to arrive as a high-specification trim soon.
