Ahead of the official opening of the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, our team on site has captured images of the Geely Galaxy Starship 7 EV. As a heavy hitter in the Galaxy lineup, this pure electric variant features specific styling refinements and is set to make its official debut on April 24.

Images reveal that the Starship 7 EV retains the core design language of the hybrid (EM-i) version while introducing clear "electric-first" styling cues.
Front Fascia: The EV variant adopts a cleaner, fully enclosed grille, eliminating the cooling vents required for the hybrid. The lower bumper has been reshaped with more fluid lines to optimize aerodynamics and enhance its distinct visual identity.
Signature Lighting: The family's hallmark "Galaxy Ripple" integrated light bars remain at the front and rear, preserving a high-tech signature that is instantly recognizable at night.

According to recent filings from China's MIIT, the Starship 7 EV will offer two battery configurations to meet different driving needs.
Standard Range: Equipped with a 60.2 kWh battery, offering a CLTC range of 525 km.
Long Range: Equipped with a 68.39 kWh battery, offering a CLTC range of 605 km.
For the Malaysian market, even after accounting for real-world adjustments (estimated WLTP conversion), a single-charge journey from KL to Penang or Johor Bahru should be well within reach.

With the official unveiling of the Galaxy Starship 7 EV in China, a question arises: could the Proton e.MAS brand leverage this model as a blueprint for a more premium C-segment or D-segment electric SUV in the future? For Malaysian car enthusiasts, this is certainly a development worth watching.
Stay tuned for our follow-up coverage on April 24, live from the Beijing Auto Show, where we will bring you more details on the interior, technical specifications, and final pricing!
