At the 2026 Beijing International Auto Show, Xiaomi EV stole the spotlight with the domestic debut of its Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo (GT) Concept. Originally unveiled globally at MWC Barcelona, this all-electric virtual hypercar is created for the Gran Turismo racing series.

Built for Dreams: A Digital-Only Flagship

Addressing the most pressing question from fans, Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the Vision GT concept will remain an exclusive of the virtual world and will not enter mass production.

The Vision Gran Turismo project, initiated by GT creator Kazunori Yamauchi, invites world-class automakers to push the boundaries of physics and technology to design the "ultimate dream machine". For Xiaomi, this display is more than a spectacle; it is a profound exploration of a future design language that transcends its current core technology.

Sculpted by Wind: Aerodynamic Mastery

The core design philosophy is "Sculpted by Wind". Externally, the Xiaomi Vision GT eschews superfluous lines and sharp edges in favor of a fluid, pure aesthetic.

Teardrop Cockpit: The entire cabin takes the form of a suspended teardrop, with every surface meticulously optimized for airflow.

Signature Design Elements: The concept retains Xiaomi's hallmark "cross-shaped" headlights (with integrated air ducts) and "halo" taillights, which are innovatively merged into the rear aerodynamic vents.

Technical Excellence: Featuring hollowed-out air channels, magnetic "Black Hole" wheels, and an Active Wake Control system, the car achieves an aerodynamic efficiency of 4.1, a drag coefficient of 0.29 Cd, and a staggering -1.2 downforce.

Interior: The "Sofa Racer" Concept

Inside, Xiaomi introduces the "Sofa Racer" philosophy, aiming to strike a balance between extreme track-focused control and premium lounge comfort within an immersive "cocoon" cockpit.

Powered by Xiaomi AI and the MiMo large model, the vehicle actively perceives and interacts with the driver through synchronized light, sound, and haptic feedback — seamlessly integrating into Xiaomi's "Human-Car-Home" ecosystem.

Conclusion

While the Vision GT may never hit real-world asphalt, it signals Xiaomi’s rapid evolution from a tech startup into a formidable force in high-performance automotive design.
