2026 Beijing Auto Show: The Jetour Traveller PLUS Makes Its Global Debut with 1,300 km Range and 7-Seater Versatility

At the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, Jetour officially pulls the wraps off the newest member of its rugged family — the Jetour Traveller PLUS (T2 PLUS). The new model debuts in both its standard Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) variant and the Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) variant.

Far more than a simple extension of the existing lineup, the "PLUS" designation represents a comprehensive premium upgrade, elevating the brand's interior luxury, digital intelligence, and outdoor versatility.

Exterior: Iconic Boxy Design with Refined Details

The Jetour Traveller PLUS retains the rugged, rectangular design language that has already struck a chord with Malaysian consumers, but with key refinements.

Proportions: While maintaining a 2,800 mm wheelbase, the body length has been extended to 5,034 mm (including the spare tyre), resulting in a more imposing and prestigious silhouette compared to the standard T2.

New Lighting: The rear now features vertical through-type LED taillights, replacing the previous square units for a more modern and high-end nighttime signature.

Visual Impact: The front grille adopts a new JETOUR 3D light-and-shadow design, paired with 20-inch wheels to enhance its visual impact.

Interior: 8255 Chip & DeepSeek AI Integration

The cabin is the centerpiece of the PLUS upgrade, featuring a technological suite that rivals premium EVs.

Smart Brain: The cockpit is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255 chipset, running the new Jetour OS 3.0 for a seamless, ultra-responsive user experience.

DeepSeek Integration: The system integrates iFLYTEK Spark AI and DeepSeek, allowing the voice assistant to process complex logical queries rather than just executing basic commands.

Premium Features: Premium touches include a crystal gear shifter, a "Queen Copilot" seat with electric leg rests, and 8-point massage functionality for the front seats.

Refined Utility: A new Smart Electric Suction Tailgate resolves the common struggle of closing heavy rear doors on rugged SUVs, ensuring a soft, effortless close every time.

Space: 7-Seater Versatility for the Modern Family

With its extended body, the Traveller PLUS introduces a more flexible interior layout.

Configuration: Available in a spacious 5-seater or a family-friendly 7-seater (2+3+2) arrangement.

Camping Ready: With the second and third rows folded flat, the cargo area expands to 1,653L, creating a 2-metre flat space that effectively serves as a mobile bedroom for outdoor expeditions.

Powertrain: Uncompromised Performance

2.0TGDI (ICE): The robust 2.0L engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission(8AT), delivering 254 PS and 390 Nm. It utilizes the BorgWarner 6th Gen XWD system with "7+X" intelligent off-road modes.

C-DM Hybrid: Utilizing Chery's Kunpeng Super Hybrid (C-DM) technology (1.5T dedicated hybrid engine + dual motors), this variant offers a combined range of over 1,300 km and supports 6.6 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) for powering outdoor equipment.

Jetour is currently enjoying massive momentum in Malaysia, with the standard T2 proving immensely popular. The Traveller PLUS feels perfectly tailored for "adventure-loving dads" or outdoor enthusiasts who refuse to sacrifice family comfort for off-road capability.

By addressing two major pain points — fuel efficiency (via the C-DM system) and rear-door ergonomics (via the suction tailgate) — the PLUS version offers a highly compelling package. If this flagship reaches Malaysian shores, it is poised to ignite a second wave of "boxy SUV" fever.
