BMW iX1 eDrive20L M Sport Launched in Malaysia: 110 mm Longer Wheelbase, Priced from RM252,800

BMW Malaysia has expanded its pure electric SAV portfolio with the highly anticipated BMW iX1 eDrive20L M Sport. The key highlight of this new variant is its long-wheelbase (LWB) architecture, engineered to significantly enhance rear passenger comfort while retaining the agility of a compact SUV.

The official recommended retail price for the all-new BMW iX1 eDrive20L starts from RM252,800 (on-the-road, without insurance).

Space Upgrade: Built for Rear Comfort

As the first long-wheelbase BMW EV in Malaysia, the iX1 eDrive20L boasts a wheelbase 110 mm longer than the standard model, with the overall length increasing by 116 mm to 4,616 mm. This extension provides a "qualitative leap" in cabin dimensions.

Rear Legroom & Kneeroom: Increased by 81 mm and 107 mm respectively, offering a spacious seating experience comparable to SUVs in higher segments.

Enhanced Seating: The rear seats feature softer foam padding, and the seat cushions have been extended by 15 mm for better thigh support.

Airy Ambiance: A panoramic sunroof with an integrated electric sunblind comes as standard, further elevating the cabin's sense of openness.

Performance and Range

The vehicle utilizes a front-mounted single-motor powertrain.

Output: 204 hp (150 kW) and 250 Nm of peak torque

Acceleration: 0-100 km/h in 8.6 seconds

Battery Capacity: A 66.5 kWh Lithium-ion battery pack provides a driving range of up to 433 km (WLTP)

Charging: supports 130 kW DC fast charging, taking approximately 32 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%. For home charging, an 11 kW AC wallbox achieves a full charge in roughly 6 hours and 45 minutes.

Digital Cockpit and Tech Features

The interior is headlined by the BMW Curved Display (a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a 10.7-inch infotainment screen) running the latest BMW Operating System 9.

The M Sport package provides a more aggressive aesthetic, featuring exclusive front and rear bumper designs, 19-inch M Light Alloy Wheels (Style 871M), and an Extended Shadowline high-gloss black kidney grille.
