Dreame, a brand renowned for its premium smart home appliances, has taken a bold step into the automotive industry. Under its ambitious "Nebula NEXT" initiative, the company held a technical launch event titled "DREAME NEXT" in San Francisco. The event not only unveiled a stunning rocket-boosted supercar concept but also showcased a series of groundbreaking core technologies, including solid-state batteries, intelligent chassis systems, and on-device large AI models, signaling Dreame's serious ambitions in the automotive sector.

The undisputed star of the event was the Nebula NEXT 01 Concept JET Edition, dubbed the "Rocket Car". This extreme concept is equipped with a custom-designed dual solid rocket booster system.
Extreme Performance: The rocket system responds in just 150 milliseconds, delivering a massive 100 kN of thrust. Combined with the vehicle's electric motors, it achieves an astonishing 0–100 km/h acceleration in 0.9 seconds, pushing the very limits of physics.
Aerodynamics: To effectively harness this immense power, Dreame developed "Wind-Control Technology" to optimise exhaust flow and aerodynamic performance, ensuring the car remains stable and planted at ultra-high speeds.
At the core of Dreame's "Nebula NEXT" is the "Crystal Core" solid-state battery. In Malaysia's hot and humid climate, the inherent thermal stability of solid-state technology stands out as a major advantage.
Energy Density: Laboratory tests show over 450 Wh/kg, with a long-term target of 800 Wh/kg — nearly double that of conventional lithium-ion batteries.
Safety: Using a sulfide electrolyte, the battery demonstrated exceptional stability, showing no fire or explosion even under extreme nail penetration, crushing, and high-temperature test.
Charging & Production: It supports 1–2C fast charging and is already entering the mass-production preparation phase.

Dreame also introduced the Tianxun Intelligent Chassis, featuring a full steer-by-wire architecture that replaces traditional mechanical linkages with electronic control.
This advanced system, paired with electromagnetic active suspension, achieves a response time of under 1 millisecond and reduces the turning radius to less than 5 metres. It also supports advanced manoeuvres such as crab walking and tank turns, while maintaining vehicle stability even during high-speed tyre blowouts through its non-linear control algorithms.
Powered by on-device large AI models, the Metis AI Agent transforms the cabin from a simple voice assistant into a proactive intelligent butler capable of understanding user intent and seamlessly connecting with Dreame's home robotics ecosystem.
On the ADAS front, the DHX1 LiDAR delivers industry-leading performance with 4320-line full-colour 4K resolution, a detection range of up to 600 metres, and the ability to identify small objects such as traffic cones or animals from hundreds of metres away.

True to its philosophy of "technology first, product second", Dreame's Nebula NEXT has delivered an impressive display of "brute-force aesthetics". While a rocket-boosted supercar with 0.9-second acceleration remains a distant dream for most consumers, the solid-state battery and steer-by-wire chassis technologies shown are highly likely to make their way into future production models.
Should these innovations eventually reach the Southeast Asian market, they could significantly disrupt the status quo and serve as a powerful catalyst for the region's EV development.
