Chery Tiggo V Debuts at Auto China 2026: A Versatile SUV That Transforms into MPV and Pickup

Chery has officially unveiled its latest innovation — the Chery TIGGO V — at Auto China 2026 in Beijing. Developed under a "scenario-driven" philosophy, the TIGGO V is the brand's first truly transformable multi-functional SUV, designed to redefine family mobility by seamlessly blending the strengths of an SUV, MPV, and pickup truck into one vehicle.

According to Chery CEO Jeff Zhang, the "V" in TIGGO V stands for Versatility, Value, and Victory. This innovative model aims to deliver maximum flexibility for modern families.

Three Modes, One Vehicle 

The TIGGO V adapts intelligently to different family lifestyles through its unique transformable design.

Featuring Chery's latest Tiger-inspired design language with a bold V-shaped grille and sleek LED headlights, the TIGGO V emphasizes safety and presence. Its body structure consists of 76% high-strength steel and aluminum, complemented by a comprehensive ADAS suite including Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), and Remote Parking Assist (RPA).

MPV Mode (Space & Comfort): With an impressive 2,800 mm wheelbase, the TIGGO V offers a spacious 7-seater configuration. Notable comforts include a "bed mode" for resting during long trips, 42 storage compartments throughout the cabin, and N95-grade air filtration for all three rows.

Pickup Mode (Utility): The rear section can be quickly transformed, allowing the vehicle to function as a practical pickup truck — perfect for carrying bulky items, camping gear, or outdoor equipment.

Performance & Efficiency 

The Tiggo V is available in PHEV and ICE variants. The PHEV variant achieves an impressive fuel consumption of just 6L/100 km, while the pure ICE version records 7.84L/100 km. Powering the PHEV variant is Chery's 6th-generation Super Hybrid system. With 220 mm of ground clearance, the TIGGO V is well-equipped to handle uneven roads and flash floods commonly encountered in Southeast Asia.
