Chery recently held the 2026 Chery International Business Summit at its headquarters in Wuhu, China. Under the theme "Sprint for One Million, Create the Future Together", the event attracted over 1,000 dealers and media representatives from 120 countries.
During the summit, Chery officially unveiled its new "For Family" brand philosophy and outlined its strategic roadmap for 2026 to 2030.

Fresh off a stellar 2025, Chery maintained its position as China's top passenger car exporter for the 23rd consecutive year, with a global user base surpassing 18 million. Jeff Zhang, CEO of Chery Brand, announced an ambitious target to welcome 1 million new family users in 2026, with a long-term vision of serving over 10 million families worldwide by 2030.

To achieve these goals, Chery plans to launch 13 new models between 2026 and 2027. The offensive will cover a full range of powertrains — Internal Combustion Engine (ICE), Mild Hybrid (MHEV), Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV), and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) — as well as a comprehensive segment matrix including SUVs, sedans, and a highly anticipated pickup truck series tailored for markets like Malaysia.
On the global front, Chery will continue strengthening its presence in Southeast Asia while making its official entry into the German market by 2027. The summit also featured the debut of the TIGGO V, which showcased Chery's next-generation design language and innovative spatial layout.

Chery highlighted several breakthrough "moat" technologies expected to redefine the industry.
All-Solid-State Batteries: Having successfully passed rigorous multi-scenario safety tests, these batteries aim to eliminate range anxiety and address key safety concerns for EV users.
AI Large Model Assistant: Boasting 90% multilingual recognition accuracy — a crucial advantage in Malaysia's multi-lingual environment.
VPD Full-Scenario Automated Parking: Designed to reduce driving stress and enhance convenience for family travel.
Furthermore, AiMOGA — a robotics subsidiary under Chery Group — highlights the company's transformation from a traditional automaker into a comprehensive smart mobility provider through its integrated "Car + Robot" ecosystem.

Chery has refreshed its brand DNA with a clear focus on families, built around three core pillars: Space, Safety, and Technology — For Family. The company aims to create a complete ecosystem that includes vehicle-home integration, outdoor camping, and parent-child travel experiences.
Chery's momentum in Malaysia is undeniable, as demonstrated by the strong performance of the Tiggo Pro series and OMODA 5. The "13 new models in two years" plan is likely to include right-hand-drive (RHD) models for our market. The upcoming introduction of solid-state battery technology and a pickup truck series could significantly strengthen Chery's competitiveness against Japanese brands in Malaysia.
