Geely's global expansion has reached another major milestone. The brand recently held a grand launch event at the iconic Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, officially marking its entry into the French market.
Alongside the brand debut, Geely introduced two key models: the stylish Geely STARRAY (also known as the Boyue L) and the fully electric Geely E5 (Galaxy E5).

These two models are not only pioneers for Geely in France — they have already been successfully launched in over 40 countries and regions.
Of particular interest to Malaysian buyers, both the STARRAY and E5 have earned the prestigious Euro NCAP 5-star safety rating with strong scores. From structural safety and battery protection to emissions compliance, both vehicles fully meet the stringent requirements of the European Union, offering significant reassurance for safety-conscious consumers.
Geely has laid out a clear and ambitious roadmap for the French market.
Jenny Jin, Managing Director at Geely Auto France, emphasised that Geely will draw on its 40 years of automotive experience to build the French market through a "global standards + localised service" strategy.
Malaysian netizens often say, "Geely's cars are Proton's future." The successful launch of the Geely E5 in France — home to automotive giants like Renault and Peugeot — while achieving top Euro NCAP ratings, further proves the competitiveness of the upcoming Proton e.MAS 7.
Meanwhile, the strong European reception of the Geely STARRAY (the second-generation Boyue) also builds anticipation for the eventual successor to the Proton X70. With Geely raising the bar on the global stage, Malaysian buyers have every reason to be excited about Proton's upcoming models.
