BMW Group has officially achieved a significant electrification milestone! The 2-millionth BMW fully electric vehicle (BEV) has rolled off the production line at the Dingolfing plant in Germany.

The Milestone Vehicle: The honour goes to the high-performance BMW i5 M60 xDrive — the same model currently available in Malaysia from RM480k.
Impressive Growth Pace: BMW reached its 1-millionth BEV in April 2024. It has taken the company just two years to double that figure to 2 million units.
Production Powerhouse: Today, 1 in every 4 vehicles produced at the Dingolfing plant is a fully electric BMW, including the iX and i7 models.

The company is gearing up for an aggressive product offensive, planning to launch around 40 new and facelifted models over the next two years. A major focus will be on the groundbreaking Neue Klasse (New Class) architecture.
Following the debut of the Neue Klasse iX3 and i3 at the Beijing Auto Show, Malaysian enthusiasts can look forward to these next-generation electric vehicles arriving globally by late 2026. These models will feature advanced 800V fast-charging technology and other major improvements in efficiency and performance.
