Company Profile
Zenvo Automotive is a Danish manufacturer of high-performance hypercars located in Præstø on the Danish island of Zealand. It is the first and only series automobile manufacturer in Denmark's history to independently develop and produce hypercars. Operating within the ultra-luxury segment, the company competes directly with brands like Koenigsegg, Bugatti, and Pagani, producing vehicles in extremely limited numbers.
Zenvo focuses on combining Scandinavian minimalist design with raw, violent mechanical performance. Rejecting automated assembly lines, every hypercar is entirely handcrafted to bespoke customer specifications, with historical production averages rarely exceeding single digits per year.

Development History
Founding and Initial Prototype (2004–2008)
Troels Vollertsen founded the company with a small team of engineers aiming to put Denmark on the global supercar map. The first running prototype, code-named Zenvo ST1, completed development in 2008 after rigorous testing of its unique powertrain.
The ST1 Era and Technical Hurdles (2009–2016)
The production-ready ST1 debuted in 2009. While praised for its extreme power, the early development years were plagued by cooling and reliability issues under extreme track conditions, famously highlighted during a fiery segment on the British television show Top Gear. This prompted Zenvo to heavily overhaul its thermal management systems and transmission software.
Active Aerodynamics and Expansion (2017–2022)
In 2017, Zenvo shifted towards track-focused engineering, debuting its TS platform. This era was defined by the introduction of Zenvo’s signature, internationally patented active aerodynamics technology, positioning the brand as an engineering innovator rather than just a low-volume boutique manufacturer.
The Hybridization & V12 Era (2023–Present)
Marking a clean break from its legacy V8 platforms, Zenvo unveiled its all-new global hypercar platform, the Aurora. Developed in partnership with German engineering giant Mahle, this era transitions Zenvo into a hybrid-powered, quad-turbocharged V12 manufacturer.
Product Lineup
1. Legacy Models
- Zenvo ST1 (2009–2016): The company's debut model. Only 15 units were built worldwide. It featured an unusual 7.0-liter twin-charged (supercharged and turbocharged) V8 engine producing 1,104 horsepower.
- Zenvo TS1 GT (2016–2020): The successor to the ST1, introducing a downsized, in-house developed 5.8-liter twin-supercharged V8 engine. It offered better refinement, a luxurious grand-touring interior, and 1,102 horsepower.
- Zenvo TSR (2016): A pure, non-street-legal track car variant featuring a stripped interior, a sequential racing gearbox, and aggressive fixed aerodynamics.
2. Current Core Models
- Zenvo TSR-S (2018–Present): The street-legal evolution of the track-only TSR. It utilizes the 5.8L twin-supercharged V8 engine pushing 1,177 horsepower.
- The Centripetal Rear Wing: The TSR-S is world-renowned for its patented Centripetal Rear Wing. When cornering, the wing tilts left or right by up to 20 degrees via hydraulic actuators. This creates an inward force, pushing the inner tire down into the tarmac to dramatically increase stability during high-speed turns.
3. Next-Generation Flagships (2026 Production)
- Zenvo Aurora (Limited to 100 units worldwide): Zenvo's highly advanced modular monocoque carbon-fiber platform. It utilizes a 6.6-liter quad-turbocharged V12 engine developed by Mahle, nicknamed "Mjølner" (Thor's Hammer).
- Aurora Agil (Track Variant): Limited to 50 units. A rear-wheel-drive, lightweight model stripped of front electric motors to weigh just 1,300 kg dry. It features aggressive fixed wings for maximum track downforce.
- Aurora Tur (Grand Touring Variant): Limited to 50 units. Features a cleaner, elegant body shape and an advanced triple-electric-motor hybrid system. It pumps out a combined 1,850 horsepower, achieves all-wheel drive, and hits a top speed of 450 km/h.
