All-New Tank 700 Launched: Hi4-Z Long Range Variant Debuts, Priced from RM283k

Great Wall Motor (GWM) has officially launched its hardcore off-road flagship, the Tank 700, in the Chinese market. The new model lineup consists of three variants, priced from CNY 428,000 to CNY 508,000 (approximately RM283,280 to RM336,220).

As the crown jewel of the TANK brand, the Tank 700 not only strengthens its signature "Mecha-Tech" aesthetic but also introduces the highly anticipated Hi4-Z longitudinal dual-motor PHEV powertrain.

Mecha-Tech Aesthetics with LiDAR Integration

The Tank 700 maintains its iconic rugged silhouette while receiving several aggressive design upgrades.

Front Fascia: It features a new honeycomb grille, redesigned sporty bumpers, a front lip spoiler, and an exclusive air intake on the bonnet, giving the vehicle a more dynamic and powerful stance.

Smart Hardware: The Tank 700 now features a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor, improving its high-level intelligent driving assistance system through enhanced environmental perception and precision.

Dimensions & Stance: Measuring 5,105mm / 2,061mm / 1,985mm (L/W/H) with a 3,000mm wheelbase, the Tank 700 rides on new blacked-out wheels available in 20- and 21-inch sizes. At the rear, it features a prominent oversized spoiler and a spare tyre cover emblazoned with the GWM TANK emblem.

The Tank 700 delivers a premium and highly refined cabin experience that successfully blends luxury with rugged functionality.

Tech-Focused Layout: It features a full LCD digital instrument cluster paired with a floating infotainment screen, while thoughtfully retaining physical buttons for key off-road controls, ensuring intuitive operation even in demanding conditions.

Rear Comfort: A major highlight is the new ceiling-mounted entertainment screen, which provides rear passengers with a premium, theatre-like viewing experience.

Combined with electronically adjustable rear seats that offer significant recline, the Tank 700 delivers a first-class experience for rear passengers.

Dual Powertrains: Up to 1,191km Total Range

The Tank 700 is available with two plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain options.

Hi4-Z System (New): Combines a 2.0T engine with a large 59.05 kWh battery, delivering a WLTC pure electric range of 190 km and an impressive total range of up to 1,191 km.

Hi4-T System (Performance): Powered by a 3.0T V6 engine, producing a combined output of 385 kW and 800 Nm of torque. This version is specifically tuned for serious off-road capability and high-performance driving.
