2026 Beijing Auto Show Preview: Xiaomi Auto has officially announced that its all-electric intelligent concept hypercar, the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo (Xiaomi Vision GT), will make a grand appearance at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show. This represents the concept's first appearance at a major international motor show since its global unveiling at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona earlier this year.

Born for Gran Turismo: The Pinnacle of Xiaomi's Engineering

This concept car was developed specifically for the Gran Turismo racing simulation platform, following a direct invitation from Kazunori Yamauchi, the creator of the series.

While enthusiasts may hold out hope for a street-legal version, Xiaomi Auto has explicitly stated that the Vision GT will not enter mass production. Instead, the project serves as a high-performance testbed to push the boundaries of materials and technology. Guided by the "Sculpted by Wind" design philosophy, it explores the absolute limits of the driving experience while showcasing Xiaomi's expertise in aerodynamic engineering.

"Sculpted by Wind": The Aesthetics of Aerodynamic Perfection

The design language of the Xiaomi Vision GT focuses on total integration. The goal is to achieve peak aerodynamic performance through the vehicle's organic surfacing, eliminating the need for add-on aero kits.

Design Philosophy: The cabin is shaped like a suspended water droplet, with every curve and surface meticulously optimized to manage airflow.

Family DNA: The iconic "Cross" headlights double as functional air ducts, while the "Halo" taillights are seamlessly integrated into the rear aero-tunnels to manage trailing turbulence.

Technical Highlights: The concept features "Black Hole" wheels with semi-transparent, magnetic levitation covers, a precision-engineered underbody, and an innovative "Active Wake Control" system to stabilize the car at high speeds.

Performance: Engineering simulations reveal an aerodynamic efficiency value of 4.1, an impressively low drag coefficient of 0.29 Cd, and a substantial -1.2 downforce coefficient.

AI Intelligent Cockpit: Introducing the "Sofa Racer" Concept

Inside, Xiaomi debuts the "Sofa Racer" philosophy — a daring vision that harmonizes high-stakes racing control with home-like comfort.

Ring Cockpit: A circular, symbiotic interior architecture creates a seamless "cocoon" environment, designed to envelop the driver in a fully immersive experience.

AI-Driven Intelligence: Powered by Super XiaoAi and the MiMo AI model, the cockpit is no longer passive. The vehicle actively perceives its environment, providing intuitive, real-time feedback through a multi-sensory blend of light, sound, and haptic touch.

Human-Car-Home Ecosystem: As a core node in Xiaomi's broader ecosystem, the Vision GT blurs the boundaries between the digital and physical worlds, offering a truly interconnected lifestyle on and off the track.

For Malaysian enthusiasts, the Xiaomi Vision GT serves as a preview of the design evolution and AI-driven intelligence poised to define future models following the Xiaomi SU7.
