On May 28, SAIC Group welcomed a historic moment—the 100 millionth vehicle globally was officially delivered, becoming the first automotive group in China to accumulate production and sales exceeding 100 million units.
Behind these 100 million units, SAIC-GM-Wuling contributed over 32 million units. This number speaks volumes about Wuling's status in the Chinese automotive market in recent years. It is worth noting that on the same day, SAIC-GM-Wuling's global vehicle EKSION was officially delivered to users in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Mentioning Wuling immediately brings to mind the classic slogan: "Whatever the people need, Wuling builds." In fact, this reputation is well-deserved. Looking back at Wuling's history of development, it has always hit every key milestone of the Chinese automotive market.

In the early days, Wuling Hongguang, thanks to its "ability to carry goods, ability to carry passengers, and cheapness plus durability," became the first car for countless individual entrepreneurs on their path to starting a business; later, with consumption upgrades, Baojun 730 entered the family MPV market, meeting families' needs for large space and multi-functionality with a lower threshold.
In the new energy era, Hongguang MINI EV almost opened the Chinese micro EV market in a way of "redefining commuter vehicles." It can be said that SAIC-GM-Wuling always accurately grasps users' real needs and understands what users actually need.
Nowadays, SAIC-GM-Wuling is also attempting to move towards a more high-end and intelligent direction. For example, the Huajing S launched in cooperation with Huawei Qiankun. Wuling hopes that through the cooperation between both parties, to break the technical premium barrier of high-end intelligent driving, allowing more users to experience advanced intelligent driving.

Aside from the domestic market, SAIC-GM-Wuling has also been actively laying out the overseas market in recent years. Data shows that currently, its cumulative overseas sales have exceeded 1.5 million units, covering more than 110 countries and regions worldwide.
The reason SAIC-GM-Wuling could achieve today's results lies in its solid hard-core capabilities. For instance, in manufacturing, SAIC-GM-Wuling created the world's first "Smart Island" manufacturing system. Through a flexible production model of "vehicles find workstations, materials find vehicles," it further improves production efficiency and cost control capabilities, enabling it to adapt to changes in different market demands faster.
For the Chinese automotive industry, 100 million units is not just a breakthrough in scale, but also means Chinese automakers have begun to truly participate in global market competition. Meanwhile, SAIC-GM-Wuling is also advancing from a "national brand" to a "global brand."
