Recently, Sentury Tire issued an announcement appointing Carrick Geng as Deputy General Manager of the Overseas Sales Center and Director of European Sales. This personnel adjustment comes at a critical juncture when Sentury's European strategy is fully accelerating. This leading Chinese tire enterprise is launching a systematic offensive into the European market.
13-Year Veteran Based in Europe
Sentury evaluates Carrick Geng as a key figure for global expansion. During his 13 years with the company, he started as a sales representative in the US, successively holding key positions such as Sales Director of the Thailand and China production bases. His career trajectory spans the Americas, Southeast Asia, and domestic production and operation systems. He is familiar with overseas terminal channel development and well-versed in multi-base production-sales coordination, possessing a group-wide global perspective and practical experience in global channel management.

After taking this new post, he will coordinate the overall sales operations in the European region, linking multi-base resources, product matrices, and resources from European local dealers and OEM matching. The focus of work is not only sales expansion but also channel structure optimization and the enhancement of the value of the independent brand, helping Sentury break away from the low-price competition path and solidify its position in the European mid-to-high-end market.
European Battlefield: Opportunities and Challenges Coexist
Europe is a market of extreme importance in Sentury's global landscape. Currently, the company operates multiple brands in Europe, including Landsail, Delinte, Groundspeed, and Sentury.
Back in June this year at the Cologne International Tire Exhibition in Germany, Sentury announced plans to build a new intelligent passenger car tire factory in the Balkan region, targeting production start in 2027. In the Western European market, the company has reached an exclusive distribution cooperation with well-known dealer Intersprint, explicitly rejecting low-price dumping and shifting towards deep brand cultivation.

Morocco Factory Becomes European Supply "Foundation"
To focus on Europe, the ace up Sentury's sleeve is the "China-Thailand-Morocco" golden triangle capacity matrix. The Morocco factory, operational for nearly two years, is close to Europe and enjoys tariff advantages. It is currently scaling up in an orderly manner, with orders exceeding supply, and is expected to reach design capacity by the end of 2026. In the first half of 2026, the factory achieved a turn from loss to profit, with operating revenue of 730 million yuan and net profit of 12.12 million yuan.
The more critical breakthrough lies in the OEM matching field: relying on the Morocco factory, Sentury has obtained supplier qualifications for two major global automakers, Renault and Stellantis. It is expected to achieve local OEM matching in Morocco by 2027.

Performance Resilience Highlights, Secured by High-End Focus
The confidence in the European offensive comes from a solid operational foundation. The semi-annual report released on August 24 shows that Sentury's tire sales volume reached 16.64 million tires in the first half of the year, a year-on-year increase of 11.89%; operating income was 4.422 billion yuan, up 7.33% year-on-year; net profit attributable to shareholders was 420 million yuan, with a net profit margin of 9.5%, ranking firmly in the top tier of profitability among enterprises primarily engaged in radial tires for passenger cars.
Its profit code lies in the high-end structure: the proportion of sales revenue from large-size high-performance tires of 17 inches and above remains around 65%, and high value-added products counteracted the pressure of raw material price hikes and tariffs.

From "Product Going Global" to "Capacity Going Global and Localized Operations", Sentury is steadily advancing along the "833Plus" strategy—planning to layout 8 digital intelligent manufacturing bases and 3 R&D centers in about 10 years. Industry analysis believes that with veterans based in Europe and the Balkan factory implementation progressing, Sentury is expected to further amplify the growth potential of the European market and strive for greater voice for Chinese tire brands in the high-end overseas market.
