Recently, Arrive-owned Parkopedia and Voltality announced a partnership, providing real-time charging data compliant with automotive industry standards in the four fastest-growing car markets in Southeast Asia. This partnership offers a ready-made, localized charging solution for vehicle manufacturers, especially Chinese automakers actively expanding in the region, which can be directly integrated into vehicle systems.
The partnership covers 4,500 charging stations, 15,000 charging ports, and 23 Charging Point Operators (CPOs) in Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia, and is capable of pushing real-time information on available charging piles displayed in the cabin to drivers, including detailed information at the charging port level.

Data shows that Parkopedia, as a global connected car service provider, helps drivers find and pay for parking, EV charging, fuel, and tolls in 90 countries/regions. It also provides indoor parking maps, enabling drivers and autonomous vehicles to achieve end-to-end navigation without GPS. Voltality, as the first EV charging interoperability platform in Southeast Asia, is committed to providing borderless, interoperable charging experiences for enterprises and drivers. Its product suite, VoltNET, VoltNOW, and VoltPOS aims to eliminate the fragmentation common in the EV field in the region, making charging as convenient as refueling, or even more so. The strong cooperation between the two parties allows consumers to experience more reliable and convenient charging services, and also provides strong impetus for the expansion of new energy vehicles locally.
Solving Key Challenges for Automotive Companies Expanding into Overseas Markets
For Chinese manufacturers currently leading the global EV transformation wave, providing a high-end and localized digital experience beyond their home markets has always been a major challenge. Charging infrastructure in Southeast Asia has historically been relatively scattered, and data quality is uneven, making it difficult for automakers to provide a reliable and connected experience to drivers.
This partnership directly addresses this issue. Parkopedia, in collaboration with Voltality, integrates real-time data from various charging networks in the region, transforms it into a consistent and validated data stream, and subsequently provides this data to vehicle manufacturers according to automotive-grade quality standards – this means no manual updates, no fake charging piles, and no impact on the driving experience. Chinese vehicle manufacturers do not need to establish local data partnerships from scratch, avoiding relevant complex processes, and can directly adopt this validated high-quality solution to enter the market.
Southeast Asia: A Strategic Battlefield with Strong EV Growth Potential
This timing is significant. The adoption speed of EVs in Southeast Asia is faster than in many more mature markets. In 2025, EVs accounted for 45% of new car sales in Singapore, 38% in Vietnam, and 21% in Thailand – this ratio exceeds the level of the UK (33%) and the US (less than 10%) at the same time.
Vietnam and Thailand are particularly huge potential markets, with populations exceeding 100 million and 70 million respectively, and there is still considerable room for growth in vehicle ownership. For automotive manufacturers that can provide seamless, high-tech in-vehicle experiences, the opportunity to win the loyalty of new EV buyers is very great.
Jaap van den Hoek, Head of Global Partnerships at Parkopedia, emphasized the value of this partnership, stating: "EV adoption rates in Southeast Asia are rising rapidly, but infrastructure construction lags. Through cooperation with Voltality, we can provide high-quality real-time charging data to eliminate this obstacle. For automotive manufacturers hoping to seize market share in this key region, we provide a ready-made localized solution that ensures their owners can charge with confidence anywhere, and provide services matching the high-quality digital experience provided in their home markets."
Kristoffer Jacek Soh, CEO of Voltality, added: "A charging pile only has value when the driver knows its location, there is an available spot, and the driver can park at the location. By connecting VoltNet with the in-vehicle platform trusted by the driver, every operator on our network can be found by the driver when they need it most."
Charging station operators connected to the Voltality network can also benefit directly, as their 15,000 charging interfaces will be displayed in the in-vehicle systems of the four markets, without any changes to existing infrastructure.
Looking to the future, Parkopedia and Voltality plan to expand their business scope to more markets in the region. It is expected that an in-vehicle payment function for EV charging will be launched subsequently, thereby integrating parking and charging services into a fully integrated end-to-end in-vehicle experience.
