Singapore, October 3, 2026. At the Gran Turismo World Series event, Kazunori Yamauchi and Jean-Arthur Madelaine, Head of Design at Xiaomi's European R&D Center, jointly announced: Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo will officially launch on "Gran Turismo 7" in October, becoming the first VGT model from a Chinese brand in the series' history. Both parties also simultaneously launched the first electric vehicle driving tutorial in GT racing history; players can complete exclusive training tasks by driving Xiaomi SU7 Ultra and Xiaomi Vision GT.

The VGT project was launched in 2013, inviting top global automakers to design exclusive concept supercars for the game. Brands such as Bugatti, Ferrari, Porsche, McLaren, and Toyota have previously participated, totaling 50 models. Xiaomi is the 36th brand to join, being both the first Chinese brand and the first tech company to participate. From the global launch at MWC in Barcelona in February 2026, to the real car debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April, to the game launch in October, Xiaomi VGT completed the full cycle from design release to game implementation in less than a year.

Xiaomi VGT adopts "Shaped by Wind" as its core design philosophy, discarding deliberate angles and add-on kits. The cockpit resembles a suspended water droplet, and every curved surface is optimized aerodynamically. The cross-shaped headlights combine airflow guidance functions, and the halo taillights are integrated into the rear air duct, working with the active wake control system to achieve an aerodynamic efficiency value of 4.1 and a drag coefficient of 0.29. The cockpit proposes the "Sofa Racer" concept, fusing the ring symbiotic cockpit with Super Xiao Ai and Xiaomi MiMo large models to actively perceive the driver's intent and seamlessly integrate into Xiaomi's "Human-Car-Home All-Ecosystem."

Kazunori Yamauchi commented that its "concise and extremely sexy curved beauty will become a model for this era." Jean shared his test drive experience, stating that Xiaomi VGT pursues a perfect balance between aerodynamic drag and downforce, maintaining extremely high speed and ultra-stability in the game, with an overall performance that is very smooth.

As the first exclusive electric vehicle driving tutorial launched by the Gran Turismo series in its 30-year history, the launch of this training marks that GT Racing has officially embraced the electric vehicle era, with Xiaomi becoming one of the core brands driving this process. From Xiaomi SU7 Ultra entering GT7 as the first Chinese mass-produced model, to Xiaomi VGT becoming the first Chinese brand VGT, to helping launch the industry's first electric vehicle driving tutorial module, Xiaomi Automotive achieved triple implementation of mass-produced cars, concept cars, and industry standards in less than a year. In the future, global GT7 players will be able to drive this all-electric concept supercar from China, galloping on classic tracks such as Nürburgring, Le Mans, and Suzuka, experiencing the technical strength and driving charm of Chinese electric vehicles.
