As Chinese new energy vehicles enter presidential palaces, police forces, and government departments of overseas countries, this high-barrier competition in the official vehicle market is being redefined.
In the first half of 2026, BYD's passenger car and pickup overseas sales reached nearly 790,000 units, up 67.9% year-on-year. The business covers over 120 countries and regions worldwide, ranking as the top new energy vehicle brand in core markets such as the UK, Brazil, and Thailand. Built upon a rapidly growing global foundation, BYD's new energy official vehicle business is entering a new phase of blooming in multiple locations both domestically and internationally.
Overseas, national-level recognition continues to land
Recently, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a presidential decree, awarding the BYD team the "Friendship Medal". This national-level honor serves as an important footnote to BYD's deep cultivation of the Central Asian market.

Previously, the local new energy factory started production, and the presidential palace selected BYD models for official vehicles. Now, with high-level endorsement once again, Chinese new energy vehicles are gaining trust in the overseas government market based on their strength.
Uzbekistan is not an exception. Nearly 100 BYD pure electric official vehicle orders in Pakistan have been delivered and put into use on a large scale; this is Pakistan's first large-scale procurement of new energy official vehicles. The Cape Verde government official fleet has fully switched to BYD; Hungary, Austria, and other countries have also successively included BYD models in official vehicle systems such as foreign affairs reception.
From benchmark markets to a wider scope, BYD's overseas official vehicle layout continues to penetrate.
Police Operations, moving from single-point demonstration to scaling up
Police vehicles are a specialized sub-field within official vehicles. Facing high-load conditions such as daily patrols, high-speed pursuits, and poor road conditions, they involve comprehensive tests for the three-electric system, chassis, and active/passive safety.

In September, BYD delivered a batch of Dolphin police cars to the Philippine police, promoting the continued electrification of Philippine official vehicles. Recently, dozens of Destroyer 05s officially joined the Mexican police force. So far, BYD has delivered multiple models including BYD SHARK pickups, Seal, Yuan UP, and Seagull to police forces in multiple areas of Mexico, covering diverse duty requirements.

The continuous landing in the markets of the two countries marks that BYD's new energy police vehicles are moving from single-point demonstration to scaled and normalized application.
Leading domestic share, full category coverage
While breaking through overseas, BYD also remains firmly at the forefront in domestic new energy official vehicle procurement. Announcements from the China Government Procurement Network show that since the second half of the year, government agencies in many places across the country have completed bulk procurement of BYD official vehicles.

After ranking first in domestic new energy official vehicle government procurement sales for the first half of the year with a market share of over 22%, the domestic government market has given affirmation again.

In the field of police vehicles, police vehicles such as Fang Cheng Bao Titanium 7 have also completed bulk delivery in many places across the country. BYD has built a full-category product matrix covering sedans, SUVs, to pickups, which can fully adapt to diverse police scenarios such as security patrols, traffic police law enforcement, emergency response, etc., helping to upgrade police travel electrification.
Hard power is the real pass
Government orders are a high-value quality endorsement.
Government vehicle operating conditions are complex, with higher requirements for reliability and maintenance costs. BYD adopts a dual-line layout of pure electric and hybrid, equipped with second-generation Blade Battery and flash charging technology, DM-i hybrid, Heavenly Eye assisted driving, etc. Products cover sedans, SUVs, and other categories, adapting to various official scenarios such as reception, inspection, and patrol.
From being dominated by traditional international brands to becoming a Chinese option for global government electrification, BYD is accelerating the global government layout of Chinese new energy vehicles with technical hard power and brand credibility.
