The MG S5 EV is officially on sale in Malaysia, now locally assembled (CKD) at the EPMB plant in Melaka. The sole CKD variant, the S5 EV LUX, is priced at RM117,528 (OTR without insurance). It delivers 205 hp/350 Nm from a rear motor with a 62 kWh LFP battery for 446 km WLTP range, supports 150 kW DC charging, and carries a 7-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty and 8-year/180,000 km battery warranty.
